Hi there! I'm Kyli, the creator of Western Slope Wonder Academy. As a born-and-raised local, I've always felt a deep connection to the incredible landscapes we have here.

Being passionate about education even before I had kids (I'm a mom of three wild boys!), homeschooling was a path I knew I wanted to explore. When an outdoor school opened in our community we switched paths and it felt like the perfect fit – for me and my children.

For two years, I immersed myself in the joy of learning and then teaching outdoors. The hands-on, project-based approach resonated deeply with me, and the chance to spark curiosity in children surrounded by nature was truly magical.

However, as much as we loved the outdoor school experience, it wasn't quite meeting the academic needs of my boys. So, we embarked on a new homeschooling adventure this year.

Although we're still figuring out our perfect homeschool style (Waldorf education is definitely an area I'm drawn to!), one thing remained clear: I still wanted to be a teacher and share the wonders of learning with other kids!

And that's how Fun Fridays at Western Slope Wonder Academy was born! Every Friday, from 9 am to 12 pm, we'll be out exploring, tinkering, and diving deep into science-based projects in the fresh mountain air.

I'm so excited to see where Western Slope Wonder Academy takes us – and to embark on this adventure with you and your curious little learners!
